Excellent writing!! Takes me back to those days in the sun without air conditioning. Don't sell yourself out for a swim in a neighbors pool when you can just as well stay home and be miserable.

I love your swimming stories..I will read them all. You do have the gift! Plus, I am embarrassed to say, you always make me want to write, but only it seems to you. I can't tell you how many children I taught to swim. See? I finally got my pool home in Florida from 95 to 2005 and I taught all six of my grandbabies to love the water and all their friends as well. I won't belabor it here or endulge myself on your page, but I had a little trick that worked every time like magic. The kids who couldn't swim or were afraid of the water had to stay in the3 ft section, no pressure to do anything but if they wanted their picture taken under water they had to duck and hold their brearh. They couldn't wait! So many wonderful pictures! Of course once you can do that and you can put your feet down any time you wanted it didn't mater what stroke you wanted.Love of water and lack of fear works like magic!
